A tourist hub in the central region of Tottori Prefecture and an express train gateway to Osaka, Kyoto, and the rest of San’in Region. From the terminal, you can take buses to many tourist spots in the region. In the evening, you can see many Onsen hotel shuttle buses picking up their guests.

Kurayoshi Shirakabe Dozo-gun

Along with the Tamagawa River, standing in neat rows, the Kurayoshi Shirakabe Dozo-gun buildings were mostly built in Edo and Meiji periods around 1600s-1800s, and the area is designated as Important Preservation District for Group of Traditional Buildings. Stone bridges over Tamagawa, plastered white walls, and akagawara red roof tiles – strolling the historical streets will make you feel comfortable more than you imagine.

Mt. Kumogaiyama

The breathtaking view of the Sea of Japan and Mt. Daisen from the summit of Mt. Kumogaiyama (177m) is a must-see!

Gōshō Aoyama Manga Factory・Conan Street

A must-visit for Conan lovers! You can see author Aoyama’s memorable personal belongings and manga works. You can even touch and try some replica gadgets from the cartoon such as a turbo engine skateboard! Conan street is 1.4 km from Conan Station (JR Yura Station) to Gōshō Aoyama Manga Factory. Bronze statues and sign boards of Conan and other characters welcome the visitors here and there.

Michi no Eki Port Akasaki(Lunch)

Michi no Eki Port Akasaki has farmers’ and fisheries’ markets, a park, convinience store and so on. Japan-Korea Friendship Park and Museum/Gift Shop are next to Port Akasaki.

Nariishi no Hama, The Beach of Sound Stones

Located in the west side of Kotoura Coast, Nariishi no Hama beach is armored with oval-shaped pebbles called gorota stones. Waves crash against the shore to make a clatter sound like “kara-koro” on a rough day at sea. This unique beach attracts countrywide attention.

Old tracks of former Japanese National Railway’s Kurayoshi Line

The line was closed in 1985. Along the route, you can see former Taikyuji Station, abandoned railway tracks and a bamboo forest.
